Kangela’s Cabaret took over from affiliated performance night Glam Slam and the first event was a fundraiser for our murdered queer activist and drag queen sister Zak Kostopoulos. We had performers from London, Los Angeles and Athens and it was a roaring success. Kangela decided to make it a regular night and it has been going strong since November 2018. It is very DIY and never announces its acts who sometimes are big international names. It happens at the last weekend of every month at sociocultural centre Communitism. It has also happened online during the coronavirus epidemic.
